What to do if your Vehicle has been Impounded
GRS Recovery has been contracted by BCP Council to, upon their instruction, lawfully remove vehicles.
Please call 01202 593939 between the hours of 9am and 6pm to arrange the collection of your vehicle.
You must have an appointment to collect your vehicle.
How to reclaim your vehicle

Call GRS Recovery on 01202 593939, between the hours of 9am and 6pm Monday – Friday, to arrange an appointment to collect your vehicle.

You must provide proof of vehicle ownership of the vehicle upon collection.

Upon collection, you will need to prove your identity with valid photo ID, such as a passport, driving licence, EU national identity card, immigration document.
We cannot accept student or employer’s ID.

You will be required to pay the appropriate release fee and storage fee.
Without any of the above, your vehicle will not be released.

Payment of Charges
The following Traffic Management Act Statutory Charges must be paid to reclaim your vehicle:
£105 vehicle removal fee
£12 for vehicle storage, for each day or part day during which the vehicle is impounded
Appeals and Complaints
Please be advised that GRS Recovery act on the instruction and authority of BCP Council, and do not decide which vehicles to impound.
If you believe that the Penalty Charge Notice should not have been issued or your vehicle was wrongly impounded, you can appeal, however, YOU MUST PAY FOR THE RELEASE OF YOUR VEHICLE FROM THE COMPOUND FIRST.
Telephone challenges cannot be accepted. Appeals must be made in writing, either
- Online at bcpcouncil.gov.uk/pcn (You can also view images of the contravention online)
- Write to BCP Council Parking Administration, PO Box 9361, Christchurch, BH23 9LW
- You should quote the PCN Number, the vehicle registration, your name and address in all contacts/correspondence.
